Whittle
For the stuck-and-serious Etsy seller

A few changes worth making. Then proof they worked.

Whittle reads your shop and tells you the two or three edits actually worth your time this week — written in your own voice, kept on the right side of Etsy's rules, and measured so you can see what each one earned. No forty-tab dashboard. No keyword soup.

Free to start when we open. We'll email you once — when it's your turn. No spam, ever. See our privacy note.

Before vs. after the 14 days around your change. Whittle shows correlation, not proof of cause — and says so.

You're not short on data. You're short on what to do with it.

Most Etsy tools hand you dashboards, scores, and a hundred keyword ideas — then leave the judgment to you. The sellers who'd benefit most are busy running a shop. Whittle does the deciding, and holds itself to whether it worked.

Why it's different

Four things the rest of the category is bad at.

Proof

Proof, not promises

Every change you make gets a before-and-after — views, favorites, and sales, measured from the day you shipped it. Whittle spots edits on your listings and holds itself to what happened next.

Focus

Opinionated and quiet

At most three moves at a time, ranked by likely payoff against effort, each with a plain reason. The other thirty things stay out of your way until these are done.

Voice

Your voice, kept

The rewriter learns your tone from listings you've already written. You approve every word, and the Etsy AI-disclosure line comes baked into the text you place — so a good edit never becomes a policy problem.

Candor

Honest about the unknowns

Etsy doesn't expose search rank or volume, so we don't pretend to. Whittle shows calibrated confidence and its reasoning, and says “not enough data yet” instead of inventing a number.

How it works

From connected to proof in four steps.

  1. Connect your Etsy shop

One click, and read-only by design — Whittle can see your listings and stats, never touch them. It imports your listings, drafts included, and starts tracking from day one.

  2. See this week's moves

Open the app to at most three ranked changes — the ones most likely to move views, favorites, and orders — each with a one-line why.

  3. Approve a rewrite, in your voice

Whittle drafts options in your tone. Edit if you like, then paste the final text into Etsy's editor — the AI disclosure is already in it, and Whittle links you straight to the right listing.

  4. Watch the proof

Whittle spots the change at the next sync and tracks it. The impact screen and a weekly email show what your edits actually earned — honestly.

Questions

Straight answers.

Will Whittle make my shop sound like a robot?
No — that's the whole point. The rewriter learns your tone from listings you've already written and gives you options to edit. Nothing changes on Etsy until you place the words yourself.
Is using AI on Etsy listings allowed?
Yes, with disclosure. Etsy's rules require you to disclose AI's role and keep the maker details truthful. Whittle bakes the disclosure line into every rewrite it prepares and checks the maker details first, so a good edit doesn't turn into a policy problem.
How is this different from eRank, EverBee or Roketfy?
Those give you data and suggestions, then leave the deciding — and the question of whether it worked — to you. Whittle gives you at most three ranked moves at a time and measures the before-and-after of each change you make. We hold ourselves to the result.
Does Whittle change my listings without asking?
It can't. Whittle's Etsy access is read-only — it prepares the final text, you paste it into Etsy's own editor (about thirty seconds), and Whittle spots the change and starts measuring. Your shop is only ever edited by you.
What will it cost?
A free tier to start — connect one shop, see this week's moves, 10 AI rewrites a month, and the weekly email. One paid plan, Whittle Pro, at $14/month for 150 fair-use rewrites a month and a far larger AI budget.
What does Whittle access in my shop?
It reads your listings and their stats to find moves — it has no write access to your shop at all. Your Etsy connection is encrypted, and disconnecting deletes your data after a 14-day grace window. More in our privacy note.
Who's building this

One person, measuring in public.

I'm Koay. I started Whittle because every Etsy tool I tried handed me forty numbers and no answer to the only question that matters: did that change earn anything last week, or did I just feel productive? So this one does the unfashionable thing. It suggests less, then shows you what happened — even when the answer is “nothing.” I run every suggestion on my own shop before it ever reaches yours, and replies to the weekly email land in my inbox, not a ticket queue.
