Why do my Etsy listings get views but no sales?
Etsy already shows the two numbers that answer it. In Stats, every listing carries its views and its orders. Put them side by side and each listing lands in one of four boxes, and each box needs a different fix.
Three steps in Shop Manager.
Open Stats
On Etsy.com, choose Shop Manager, then Stats.
Scroll to Shoppers viewed your listings
Every listing there shows its views, favorites, orders and revenue. Choose Views or Orders to sort the list by either one.
Pick a long time frame
Use the dropdown at the top of the page. A quiet fortnight can make a good listing look like a dead one, so give each listing enough views to judge.
Etsy counts a visit for each person and a view for each look, so one shopper who arrives from search and opens five more listings is one visit and six views. That makes orders per 100 views the figure to work out for each listing, while Etsy's conversion rate, which uses visits, stays a number for the whole shop.

Views say it was found. Orders say it was chosen.
Put every listing in one box by those two numbers. Each box points at a different part of the listing.
Earning
Found and chosen. Keep the page as it is and send it more shoppers: share it, feature it, and use it as the model for your next listing.
Found, then passed over
Shoppers reached the page and left, so the reason is on the page, in what a buyer checks before paying: the price, the first photo, the shipping cost and the reviews. Change one of those at a time, then read the same two numbers again.
Small, and it converts
The few who find it buy it. The page already works; the listing needs to be found, which means a title and tags in the words buyers type.
Still unfound
Too few shoppers have seen it to judge the page. Work on the title and tags first, and leave the photos and the price until it has views to judge them by.
The unfound listings need words. Your earners already have them.
Stats shows which listings sell. The free Whittle check reads the Order Items file you download from Shop Manager and shows which listings earned; add your listings file and it also shows which stayed unsold and the words your earning listings share, so the unfound ones can borrow the words that already work in your own shop.
One file, read in memory and then discarded.
