What it cannot see, said up front
Views. Etsy publishes those only through its API, so no file export can tell you whether a quiet listing is being found and passed over, or never being found at all. Those are opposite problems with opposite fixes, and guessing between them is how an evening gets wasted. That gap is the only thing the paid version exists to close, and it is worth saying before you spend two minutes here rather than after.

How do I find out which of my own Etsy listings actually made money?
Download Order Items from Shop Manager, then Settings, then Options, then Download Data, and total the revenue per listing. That file is your own order history, so every figure in it is counted rather than estimated. This page does the totalling for you and ranks the listings, and it reads the file in memory without storing it.
Is there a free tool to see which of my Etsy listings are selling?
This one. Upload the Order Items CSV that Etsy already gives you and the answer comes back on this page: which listings earned. Add the listings file from the same page and it also shows which never sold and the words the earners share. There is no account, no email, no card, and nothing is connected to your shop.
Why do the numbers differ between tools that estimate Etsy revenue?
Because Etsy publishes no per-listing sales figure, so anything looking at a shop from the outside has to infer it from review counts and review velocity, and those inferences rest on a guessed review rate. Your own export sits on the other side of that wall: it lists the orders you actually had, which is why this check asks for your file instead of scraping your shop.
Which Etsy file do I need, and where is it?
Order Items, over the longest date range you have. Shop Manager, then Settings, then Options, then the Download Data tab. Etsy emails it or offers it straight away depending on the size of the shop. That one file is enough for the check.
What does the free check leave out?
